The
frame assembly of the structural elements uses double rabbet
joining. The reveal and the wing joints use double rabbets
and double contact - 1 flexible and 1 permanent contact
- with Oppold E-25-8/20 Euro rabbet tooling, which conforms
even to the highest Western European standards. Good air
sealing and a flexible contact are guranteed by a special
weather-strip profile running around the wing in two layers.
In case of higher air sealing or sound proofing needs we
recommend 73 mm thick, also double flexible air sealed
wings. Water runoff is ensured by an aluminium, eloxated
surface coated Gutmann "rimmed" water bar, equipped with
a plastic end plug, which fully covers the lower part of
the reveal (which is the most exposed to the elements).
In case of entrance doors, in addition to wooden door steps,
lower closure can also be arranged with Gutmann aluminium
door steps and automatic rubber door steps.
